In the past, this was an important crossroads for travelers and merchants who crossed the Alps. Today it is a destination for skiers and mountain enthusiasts thanks to its proximity to fantastic ski slopes and hiking trails in the Monte Rosa massif.
In the heart of the village you will find Chalet MagZ, a medieval stone house with three floors. The house, which is about 250 m2, offers a mixture of medieval charm and modern functionality. Its large open spaces are perfect for socializing after a long day on the mountain. If you love mountains and charm, then you have found the right place.

First Floor
On the first floor you will find Club MagZ, our afterski lounge. It’s a perfect place to chill out in front of the fireplace with a beer and a game of dart, after a day on the mountain. Next to the afterski you will find our ancient wine celler where you can store your wine and cheeses and organize your own wine tasting. On the ground floor you also find a bathroom with laundry facilities.
Second Floor
The stone staircase leads up to the second floor of the house. Here you will find an open plan with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and living room. The kitchen is designed to inspire teamwork and interaction around cooking. Everyone can join in when you prepare the Carabonara. The large table in the dining area, which we found in an old mountain hut, can accommodate 12 persons so there are plenty of space for some extra dinner guests.
Third Floor
The day ends and begins on the third floor. There are 4 bedrooms with 8 beds. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed, one bedroom with two single beds and a bedroom with a wall-hung bunk bed that folds out from the wall. From all the bedrooms you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Monte Rosa massif. On the third floor there is also a large bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub.
Ski room
The house also has a large ski room where you can store and dry all ski equipment after a long day on the mountain.
Garden
From the living room on the second floor, you will reach the garden where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with mountain views. The location of the village allows for sun almost all day.

At just 1,5 hours drive from Turin and 2 hours drive from Milan the Village is easy to reach by both road and air. This skiing and hiking paradise offers a variety of winter and summer activities in and on the Monte Rosa mountains, the second largest massif in the Alps.
Winter activities in Monte Rosa – downhill, upphill and on the flat
Champoluc is part of the Monterosa Ski System that connects Champoluc with Gressoney and Alagna and offers 180 kilometers of piste and endless opportunities of off-piste skiing. The highest skiing takes place at an altitude of 3,260 meters and the ski area offers very varied skiing. Here you will find family-friendly, slightly easier slopes, but also long red and black pistes. An average skier can easily ski down all pistes.
The area is also known for awesome off-piste and heliskiing. Rated as one of the best Freeride Paradises in the world. In Champoluc there are also very talented mountain guides who will take you on unforgettable adventures. Talk to us and we will connect you with some great Guides. Ski holidays in this region also mean good food and sun. In the ski system you will find many nice and quaint restaurants and bars that offer tasteful breaks in the sun between runs. If you want to go out for a proper workout, there are also several cross-country tracks in the area. In Brusson, which is 10 minutes away by car, you will find world-class ski trails. The resort has arranged several major World Cup competitions and many famous cross-country athletes have fought in these tracks.
Summer activities in Monte Rosa – hiking, MTB and more
It’s not just winter and skiing that counts. In fact, the valley has more visitors in the summer than in the winter. If you love mountains, you have come to the right place. Monte Rosa is the second highest mountain massif in the Alps after Mont Blanc. Around Champoluc you will find no less than 22 peaks over 4000 meters. Breathtaking views, picturesque mountain huts and cooling glacier lakes are part of the reward for those who choose to lace up their boots and head out into the mountains. Here you can enjoy fantastic hiking in a high alpine environment, climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding and much, much more. The lifts in Monte Rosa are normally open between June 1 – September 4 so if you do not want to walk or cycle all the way from the valley, you can always get an easy and quick trip up the mountain.
